The winner of the Jorge Mañá Award 2017 is Daniela Kishkova of Law Office Ivan Bojov in Sofia who will be spending time with fellow WLN member firm Bufete Mañá-Krier Elvira in Barcelona.
The WLN Board members all send Daniela our warm congratulations.
The Jorge Mañá Young Lawyers Award is an annual grant made to a lawyer under the age of 35 who is employed by a WLN member firm. Jorge Mañá Argüelles was a valued colleague, friend and partner in WLN, who died tragically after a skiing accident in spring 2009 at the age of 41. The WLN Board promotes the Award in memory of Jorge and as a symbol for the good relationships in the network which lie at the heart of satisfying and prosperous business. The financial award award should contribute towards the winner's travel and accommodation expenses.
Generally, the WLN directors want to encourage all young or recently qualified WLN lawyers' activities inside WLN. If you or other young lawyers in your firms have ideas for such activities please do tell us and we will explore them with you. This invitation is independent of whether or not you have the opportunity by your firm to attend one of the bi-annual Spring/Autumn WLN or WLN Next conferences in the near future.
